This was the xrated murder trial that left hardened lawyers and reporters blushing during explicit testimony and sexually revealing evidence. Arias testifying an unbelievable 18 days and jurors had to decide whether the 32yearold was a villain or a victim. It was the trial that captivated the nation. Did you kill Travis Alexander on june 4, 2008 . Yes, i did. Reporter jodi arias convicted in 2013 of brutally stabbing and shooting her exlover, Travis Alexander, prosecutors say, in a fit of rage. I said, travis, im afraid were going to find you chopped up in her freezer. Reporter the couple met in 2006. There was an instant connection. Their relationship was white hot sex. The biggest problem, however, when it came to any kind of romantic relationship was one of religion. Travis alexander was mormon and jodi arias was not. Reporter arias joined the mormon church, a decision she discussed in this neverbeforeseen excerpt from a 2008 interview. Travis baptized jodi himself and there is a picture of the two of them before the ceremony. He baptized me and it was emotional, it was spiritual, it was powerful. Its a feeling that like everything, just comes right into alignment, and nothing can go wrong. Reporter but friends began noticing their relationship had taken a dark turn. Travis had begun to see things in jodi he wasnt happy with, the obsession and everything else. He told her, you know, i dont want to be together with you anymore. This isnt going anywhere. Within weeks of them breaking up, jodi does the unthinkable to any guy who is trying to break up with a woman. She packs up her stuff and moves to mesa, arizona to be closer to him. Reporter less than a year later though she moves back to california. It just became obvious at the time we needed to be apart. We needed to grow apart. Reporter but on june 2008, his roommate finds the key to his bedroom where he makes a gris grisly discovery. He had been murdered at least three times over. Reporter at the Crime Scene Police find a camera in the washing machine revealed to have photos from the day of the murder. Just over a month later, arias is interrogated, then arrested by police. They say she exhibited bizarre behavior and had a story that didnt add up. What if i could show you proof you were there . Would that change your mind . I wasnt there. You guys had a sexual encounter, which theres pictures. Now i know you know theres pictures because i have them. Are you sure its me . I mean, cause i was not there. Jodi, its you. Reporter four years later at trial jodi arias claims selfdefense telling the jury that alexander erupted after she dropped that very camera. We were trying out different poses and as i moved the camera it slipped out of my hand. Travis flipped out and stepped out of the shower. Reporter she testified that she ran from alexander and grabbed a gun. Like a linebacker he got kind of low and grabbed my waist. Before he did that as he was lunging at me the gun went off. Reporter but the jury didnt buy it. We the jury duly empaneled and sworn do find the defendant as to count one first degree murder, guilty. Reporter jodi arias is now serving a life sentence but she may have a shot at freedom. Her attorneys have filed an appeal, and they are now awaiting and they could get words on that appeal any day now. So well see what happens. Wow. Thanks for being with us. So, jennifer, that baby is about a week old but how big is she and what milestones has she hit so far . Well, were estimating that the calf is about 80 pounds. To give you a comparison were thinking maybe about the size of a corgi, a very dense corgi. The milestone that shes most recently been able to hit is the fact that her teeth are starting to emerge from her gums. Its really exciting time to see shes getting all the nutrients she needs to get those teeth growing nice and strong and, you know, its important to note the fact that the river hippos in their native habitat are facing threats because of their teeth. Its actually theyre being illegally hunted as part of the ivory trade, but getting back to our little girl here and the milestone and seeing those teeth come out, its just a really exciting time. Hats off to that momma. Oh, yes. Jennifer, how is the mother daughter bonding going . Weve heard theyve developed their own special language. Thats right. Were watching the mom and the calf communicate with each other. They make a sound that we cant hear and those vocalizations are clearly being seen amongst them because we can see funani opening and closing her mouth. Most likely vocalizations are coming from that and then you see the calf respond to that motion and probably sound that is taking place and its beautiful to watch. Baby hippo looks calm in the video were seeing but were hearing that baby hippo is a bit precocious . She is a very adventurous calf. I need to have faith in funani. There are times that she gets to situations in my opinion i think, what is happening . But funani is such an excellent mom. She guides her and gets her right back to where she needs to go and fortunately with that communication funani is telling the calf where is the best place for her to be. Jennifer, thank you so much. This suit follows two others filed earlier this week making similar allegations. One of the plaintiffs, christina napolitano, says shes a long time devacurl user. Those napkins saved in a scrapbook sharing their own message to those strangers on that airplane. And that gratitude went both ways. Yeah, its about an American Family on a vacation in austria and the premise is that theyre sitting outside and we shot this thing in the alps, by the way, and theyre sitting outside on a mountaintop having their lunch and there is a huge bang and they look up and theres an avalanche very, very far off in the distance and everybody is watching and taking pictures and all of a sudden this avalanche gets closer and closer and closer and people are started to get concerned and then it seems as if its almost upon them and then coming towards them and almost upon them and the mom played by myself grabs the two kids and the husband played by will ferrell grabs his cell phone and runs in the opposite direction.
