And this storm is ranked a one out of five on our storm impact scale. Its a light storm that continues throughout tomorrow and early monday morning. Light to moderate rain expected. At times, possible thunderstorms more likely near the coast. And its a very cold system so the snow levels will drop down to about 4,000 feet. A chance of small hail, as well. A man entered the home and attacked the congregation. The rabbis home is next door to a synagogue. All five people were taken to the hospital in critical condition. This fire displaced a family of five who only had a couple of minutes to run out. The teen daughter recalls the terrifying moments. 17yearold jenna cruz describes the moments of fear she lived inside her home with her family. It was really scary. I was scared for my sisters. Reporter according to san jose fire, the calls reporting the blaze came in around 1 53 p. M. Cruz said she saw the smoke coming into their apartment. Her first thought was to save er family. We did have to take my sisters out. I just took my sisters arm and got them out front. Reporter neighbors called 911. I couldnt see the fire, just black smoke. Reporter san jose fire confirmed the burned apartment is a single occupancy unit. This neighbor says the person who lived in the unit where the fire began is known to san jose police. Sometimes i get up around 2 00 in the morning, drinking a cup of coffee and i see people strolling in. Reporter the cruz family says their unit received smoke and water damage. Theyre now staying at a unit nearby. A total of six people were displaced by this duplex fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. San jose fire confirmed that arson investigators were on the scene. Luz, thank you very much. In the east bay, firefighters are working to determine what caused a fire in a red tagged oakland warehouse. That warehouse was declared unsafe last year, but there were still people inside during yesterdays fire. Abc7 news stopped by today. Eight people made it out, one treated for burns. The Fire Department says the property was red tagged in april and november. Neighbors have been telling politicians the property is a problem. People who are inappropria inappropriately living in the warehouse. He was trying to get money from people who didnt have any. Reporter the tenant charged people 10 a night to sleep inside. Abc7 news was not able to reach the owner for comment. Wildfire victims face a deadline to file a claim against pg e. This is part of the bankruptcy process. Claims can be submitted before january 29th of this year, which means those affected by the campfire and the north bay firestorm would be able to participate. People can submit a claim in person as a Pg E Service Center or file online. If you missed the deadline, you wont be able to get compensation from the utility. A candle light vigil is set tomorrow for three High School Students killed in a car crash on christmas. The 16yearold brothers and Javier Ramirez died in the crash. They are pouring more service into its busiest 20 routes. The redesign has been three years in the making.
