The fire started after 40 this morning on castro street between market and 18th. The flames started in one building and spread to another next door. Officials say crews are putting out the flames in the attic in one of the buildings. Two other buildings on each side either side were also evacuated. Firefighters are evaluating whether the flames spread to those buildings. One person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Another person refused treatment. Their injuries are not considered lifethreatening. The buildings of residential units upstairs and businesses on the street level, under investigation. Also napa and livermore and a tough drive out there this morning. Be extra careful if you are heading across the Golden Gate Bridge this is what it looks like and what you can expect over the next few hours because the fog is so thick it will take a while to dissipate. Temperatures in the 50s. San francisco 54, oakland ab55. And check out the pretty shot from the east bay hills looking towards mount diablo. You can see some clearing. But then in the valleys we get the thick fog. That is making for a bit of a difficult commute this morning. Also its pretty cool in some valleys like santa rosa over 43 right now. The fire started just after 40 this morning on castro street between market and 18th. The flames started in one building and spread to another next door. We want to get straight to the site. New sound jeanine nikolas. We are at a fouralarm in on castro street. The fire originated in 456 castro street and spread to a neighboring building. There is definitely fire in two buildings. We had two patients, one with smoke inhalation transported and one refused treatment. We have companies putting out fire in the attic spaces of two buildings. And evaluating two other buildings on either side. We dont have a number on displacements yet. But its as y c see iis residentialve andn e grou floo ere stillrell csen. We cantre gh t fire recap that for you. Two other buildings on each side were evacuated. Firefighters are evaluating whether the flames spread to theablings.
