Abc7 News Reporter luz pena spoke to fire investigators and she joins us in the south bay. Luz. Reporter dion and erik, they will continue on scene investigating the fires on the perimeter around them. At least 40 is contained. Two columns of smoke where only Spring Valley fire chief needed to see to call cal fire. As he made his way in and as they were dispatching out for engines to respond, he saw a third, eventually we ended up with six separate fires. Reporter the call came in at 11 37 a. M. It shows the fire in the east hills of milpitas. Ground resources began to contain the six fires. Firefighters are now ruling out the possibility of arson. Right now well dip into the 353550s for the most part over the next 12 hours. By tuesday and wednesday the heat is on area wide, and that heat will come from some strong gusty winds. An offshore breeze will start to kickoff monday evening. For that fact a fire weather watch will go into effect especially for the north bays d hills. Calistoga, clear lake, guerneville included in the fire weather watch as well as orinda, moraga and the East Foothills in santa clara county. The city posted these signs friday warning the public to stay away due to high levels of bacteria. Its not so much what you can see here at aquatic park but its what you can smell and that smell really gets your attention. Its horrible. Many say it smells like sewage. Disgusting. Reporter water side workshops, a nonprofit classroom at aquatic park is dry docked for now. During the week we take sailing and paddling here at the aquatic park, so we had to shut that portion of the program down. Reporter its a bummer. Yeah. Reporter a city spokesperson tells us its possible rains earlier this week washed contaminants into aquatic park through storm drains. Up and down the golden state, thousands of volunteers were out picking up trash today. All of this was part of the 35th annual California Coastal cleanup. To change things up this year, the bay areas largest three cities turned it into a friendly competition. They called it the battle for the bay to see which city could clean up the most trash. Never seen the Community Look this bad so i had an opportunity to come out, clean up whatever i can little by little. It helps out. Reporter Carlos Padilla was among the thousands of volunteers taking part in this years California Coastal cleanup day. It includes cleaning up city streets because clean streets means less trash that ends up in the San Francisco bay. Alameda county save nate miley also participated. He says more people need to take responsibility for the condition of their neighborhoods. Its quality of life. So if you let your communities go deteriorate, its going to lead to more deterioration, more crime, more violence. Couches, beds it is ridiculous. Take your junk to the dump, people. Hundreds came out to make the by area a better place including girls from Urban Promise Academy in east oakland. They called them she rose because they are the next generation to save the planet. Numbers out there right now at 66 in oakland, about 69 in san jose. 61 in the city. Cooler in novato, a current temperature of 65 degrees. Doppler 7, tracking clear skies overhead right now. Well stay mainly clear overnight tonight. The Bigger Picture that will influence that little bit of a cool down tomorrow, this area of low pressure out of the gulf of alaska will slipcalifornia over hours and drop those temperatures a couple of degrees from where they were earlier today. So overnight tonight, mainly clear skies out there. Even along the coast, just limited patchy fog. Temperature wise well drop into the mid if not lower 50s overnight tonight. So ill break down your day tomorrow. Really looking beautiful out there. A lot of sunshine from the get go. Temperatures starting out in the 50s. Youll notice a few high clouds streaming in from time to time, but all in all its a sunny afternoon, and those temperatures, mild to warm, upper 60s along the coast line. Around the bay shoreline a lot of 70s. Afternoon highs, 73 in the city. 85 in san jose and concord. Up to 88 degrees under mainly sunny skies. Future tracker temperatures, the numbers begin to take off on monday. Monday afternoon. Our warm est spots going back into the mid 90s away from the coast line. Watch what happens on tuesday. Those numbers really jump. Were talking about high heat in a lot of spots, especially away from the coast. Those numbers hitting that century mark, even along the coast line. Look at that, were in the upper 70s if not lower 80s. Thanks to that offshore wind supplying us that heat. And again, that wind could be gusting pretty high. High fire danger begins monday night and were really focusing on the north bay mountains and east bay hills. Those gusts will likely hit 40 Miles Per Hour. Combine that with with really low humidity in the nighttime hours, high heat in the daytime. That means any fires that can start very easily can spread rather quickly.
