This is a great day, not just for the reopening of the Sales Force Transit Center, but a great day for our riders. Its been a year they have been waiting or two things, one, to get inside out of the elements as they commute and, two, see some kind of time savings. We anticipate thats going to happen with the relaunch of the transbay bus lines into the Sales Force Transit Center. What we hope with the savings of time is with the newly designed and implemented transitonly lane from the upper deck of the bay bridge, that riders and our couches are able to transition directly from the bridge onto and into the bus deck. What we know from years past is that our riders have consistently complained, as well as operators, that just getting off the bridge into the temporary terminal could cost as much as ten to 15 minutes. Thats valuable time when youre racing to work or trying to get back to family in the east bay. We saw a little time savings when the Transit Center first opened a year ago. As you know, it was only open for six weeks. So we didnt have a good range of time to estimate whats happening. Now with the relaunch we expect to see the time savings. Robert, obviously this was closed because of cracks. We just talked about that, those beams. I lived here for eight months and this has never been opened since i live here. This is a big deal for so many commuters. What do you say about safety concerns to make sure that doesnt happen again . What we want all riders of the bus line to know is this building is structurally sound. We applaud the mayors for leading the way with the Peer Review Panel.
