I just heard somebody passed away so they were practicing hovering, which was unique to helicopters. And something happened. The helicopter crashed. The Facebook Page has since been taken down it appears by the company. At this point again, investigators, the ntsb expected here tomorrow. According to the airport manager, there was no disstress call from the helicopter in the seconds and moments before the crash and there was no black box inside the helicopter. A bus bridge is taking passengers between Sonoma County airport stations. This is the fifth fatality involving smart trains in the past few weeks. Its been three months since the abc 7 news iteam broke this story. A 12yearold girl attacked by a bully in an east may classroom and the teacher walked away. That teacher wants to give his side of the story and spoke with dan who is here with a report youll only see on abc 7. The teacher said he received no training how to handle bullies or break up a fight. He wishes he had a Second Chance and says he should have handled it differently. Jeremy cooper was a second year teacher still on probation preparing for his history class in march. In walks a large group of students led by the student who bullied val. Reporter cooper says it was planned and students that didnt belong in the class took out cell phones and recorded a bully beating the 1212yearold. The camera caught the teacher raising his hands and walking away. I called the office. I spoke to the secretary. First thing out of my mouth, its a student in my class, its val i dont know what to do. You need to help me. Reporter the beating continued for a full 40 seconds. She felt all alone and wished cooper stepped in. I was very shocked that he didnt do anything because most teachers just go and try to stop it but he didnt do anything. Reporter finally, a p. E. Reporter cooper tells me he had no training from the school district, the union or new Teacher Training Program how to handle an incident like this. Ive been told by the principal and by many other professionals you should never touch a student, call the office. Its the principals job to break up fights or stop these kind of interactions. Reporter School Superintendent matthew deafuffy declined to be interviewed but a spokesman said classroom management is covered at the fourday new teacher orientation and student safety is the top priority for district employees. Every adult is expected to take necessary steps to protect the children we serve. It was contained within an hour and a half but in between neighbors watched helplessly as the flames got closer to their homes. Hes been spraying down the yard really and just keeping an eye out on any new fires starting up or whatever but hes been outside the whole time. A former Oakland Police officer and an atf agent. Both gave testimony contradicting statements made by a ghost ship warehouse resident and by defendant derick almena. I personally wouldnt have a problem but i think if it does become a concern, then maybe the city would have to try and see what they can do about that and how that can further improve.
