The management there has tried to deflect blame every other direction than their mismanagement of the racing surface and by making jerry a scrape goat. A horse trained by jerry hwa euthanized over the weekend after a workout on the santa anita track. Within hours, the group issued a statement saying we regret that mr. It was supposed to open last year. Fire station 16 sits in happy valley a section of Contra Costa County considered high risk for fire. Work began years ago to build the new station, the old one closed six years ago for structural issues and budget cuts. Most of the construction is finished but a dispute over the placement of a meter and other issues stopped the project in its tracks. It should not have required me as a county supervisor getting involved, bringing in pg es Legal Counsel to say enough is enough. We need to move forward but this fire station. The meter has been installed but the transformer needed to power it is absent.
