And that breaking news is in union city. An explosion sends two people to the hospital. It was reported just after 8 00 p. M. Tonight at a home on elizabeth way. Reporter dion and dan, i spoke with neighbors off camera who said the explosion was so powerful it knocked down shelves from their walls. They say that power was met with a plea for help. Someone outside screaming help, help. That happened just after 8 00 tonight, as you mentioned here along elizabeth way. According to the Union City Police, they say that two people were injured, one was taken to kaiser in fremont. The second was taken to a burn center in san jose. But because of the possibility of exposure to Hazardous Material hospitals had to follow special protocol. They also tell me the hazmat situation has been ruled out. Investigators from both Alameda County fire and Union City Police are still look into the cause. Windows and doors were blown out in the explosion. Were told there was no fire. But you know, everyone else Rayshawn Jackson spent saturday Running Drills at football camp in sacramento. The 17yearold plays varsity wide receiver at Clayton Valley charter high in concord. But on the way back to pittsburgh rayshawn and his mom tracy saw an suv driving out of control on highway 160 in the delta. It was coming towards us but the person had turned their car, the Steering Wheel toward the sxriet thats when they flew off the edge of the cliff 37. Reporter tracy pulled over and seconds later rayshawn jumped into action to rescue those traps inside the suv which had flipped twice down an embankment. I was just praying that everyone was safe no, one was severely injured and make sure no one was dead. Reporter thats rayshawn on top of the suv pulling folks to safety. Im look at rayshawn but im looking at the car like is the gas tank going to explode . Its fooch glass. He could get cut. I dont want him to hurt himself. I got on top of the driver door and opened it and let the driver out and then the passenger out. Reporter rayshawn and his mom helped the injured driver until paramedics arrived. Did they thank you . New details tonight on the concord man accuse of threatening to commit a mass shooting at a jewish temple and kill police officers. Police arrested 23yearold ross farka after receiving an fbi tip about threats being made in an online chat room. Investigators say they found an illegal semiautomatic rifle, camouflage clothing and nazi literature in farkas home. In the south bay San Jose Police have arrested 20yearold leonard hall and 21yearold kevin ta. Both are suspected in a string of armed robberies. The most recent happened june 4th at the 7 6 gas station on north 1st street near the bayshore freeway. Officers say hall robbed a customer and a cashier then fired several rounds at another customer who took off running. They say ta and his associate and coconspirator. One of the two defendants in the ghost ship fire trial took the stand today and is expected to testify again tomorrow. Max harris faces 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. Harris wore a suit and said his title of artistic director was more of a joke. Prosecution witnesses have described him as holding a leadership role. Harris says he scrubbed toilets and went through the tn exchange for being able to live in the warehouse. Hes been in custody for two his instagram o tell his story. Christian flags like this one put in place of the removed pride flags which many feel like wa not p back the pride flags while others say the flags should be used for safety, not to make a statement. The lgbtq pride flag is flying over the california state capital for the first time ever. Its being done in honor of pride month. The flag was raised at the request of governor gavin newsom and will fly until july 1st. Newsom says it sends a message of inclusion that he believes exists in california. Its floral with blues reporter an online interior design startup headquartered in San Francisco. In march she and a team of 40 set off to transform a Community Home in one day. This is a womens shelter, a shelter for moms and their children, and we wanted them to feel special. Reporter now kids living at the Richmond District shelter are enjoying their colorful new playroom, chic Community Dining space, and luxurious mothers corner. I like the windows and everything. Reporter kabob johanns has been living at the home with his mom and younger brother for two years. His mother ruda iyasu came to the u. S. Through eritrea through political asylum but she and her boys ended up homeless in San Francisco until Catholic Charities found them a spot at star. They helped me with everything. Reporter since they opened seven years ago star Community Homes has housed more than 1100 women and children. 15 families can stay here at a time and on average they stay for six months. And 90 of star families leave because they found stable housing. Ruda and her children just secured housing in San Francisco. Im so happy. When that man came knocking on your door saying you guys needed to leave, what did you think . That we were going to be living in the streets. I was scared. Reporter that landlord she describes is the legitimate landlord for the property. Victor gonzalez had already paid someone else to move in and to change the locks. He asking for the first month, for the last month, and deposit, at least like 10,000. Reporter south San FranciscoPolice Confirmed the gonzalezes were duped. They found a cloned ad online that solicited that property that was for rent. It was legitimately for rent from a Real Estate Company. However, somebody was falsely representing themselves as the property owner. Reporter joel from consumer action says the gonzalezes are past the time they could get their money back. He explains paying with cash or transferring money are major red flags along with cost. Way below market rents. Thats a red flag. Another one is an absentee landlord that cant meet with you. Reporter we found the same property in a legitimate posting on zillow and showed it to victor gonzalez. This was his reaction. Are these the same pictures . Yeah. Yeah. Its the same. They didnt change anything. Reporter the pictures are the same. But the price over 1,000 more compared to the facebook marketplace post where they initially saw the property. For how much . 3,500. So this one is posted for on zillow for 3,995. Yeah. Reporter in the midst of uncertainty on a summer break she never thought would be spent in her van, elizabeth is staying positive.
