The peninsula, in the upper 60s later on. San mateo, low 70s redwood city. Right now in the east bay, upper 50s to low 60s with the cloud cover. San francisco, you will be below average, many cities today continue that trend. Slightly warmer than yesterday. Numbers, cool up the coast, warmer inland just by a few degrees today. Developing news on the peninsula, all lanes of highway 101 in redwood city are back only after multiple crashes. The first happened just after 2 00 in the north bound lanes. The chp says a wrongway driver died after hitting another vehicle. The other driver has major injuries. 20 minutes later on the southbound side there were two separate crashes involving drivers who stopped to look at the scene of the first collision. The chp says the first in the first of those accidents a car rearended another. A woman got out but was hit by another vehicle. She is in critical condition. The driver of the car that hit her has been arrested on suspicion of dui. A brazen remove, thats how Vacaville Police are describing the crew that stole 8,000 worth of merchandise from an outlet store in broad daylight. It happened a week ago at the Tommy Hilfiger store. Police are asking for your help in the investigation. We have the story. Reporter Vacaville Police want you to see this video to help their investigation and find the thieves. Employees and customers are in shock as the first thief fills her bag with clothes. You can see another walk by with arms overflowing with hanging clothes. Then three people casually walk out of the store with stolen merchandise while alarms sound. Scary when they enter a store like that in the middle of the morning. It was a sunday morning. And just began loading up bags and bags of property that didnt belong to them. Reporter these thieves were ready. They put a plastic bag on the rear license plate like this so the getaway car couldnt be identified. They walked into the store with a bunch of empty shopping bags ready to fill up. Three men and two women were recorded on a cell phone. Nobody tried to stop them because of a handsoff security policy. Plus police say they were scared. They try to put a fear in these people when they are committing these thefts so they dont get interfered with. Reporter i showed the cell phone video to shoppers. They all found it disturbing. Shocking. I mean i dont understand how keep just can just walk into stores and just take stuff. It makes you feel unsafe anywhere you go. What if they have weapons . It is bad for consumers. I think it is bad for so many different people that want to come in here and buy stuff, people are coming in here to steal. It is not fair. Police are working with fairfield and napa police because thieves hit major stores in those sisters recently as well. In the newsroom, abc7 news. A disturbing case in the east bay. A concord man is being held in the Contra Costa County jail in an effort to commit a mass shooting at a jewish temple and kill police officers. Police took the man into custody after receiving a continue frye the fbi about threats being made in an online chat room. Officers made the arrest earlier this month but just revealed the threats. Investigators found an illegal semiautomatic rifle at his home and camouflaged clothing and nazi literature. Two bay area men are under arrest after a Police Chase Led to a deadly crash. The two man have been booked on multiple charges, including homicide and attempted homicide. Modesto police say the men sped away when officers tried to pull them over yesterday morning. Police say the men fired shots at the officers pursuing them. The car jumped a curb and crashed near a taco track. Two bystanders were killed. Police say the suspects ran but were quickly arrested. The car they were in was reported as stolen. Activists came together across the bay area calling for President Trump to be impeached. Heres Cornell Barnard with the story.
