punched in the face and seriously injured when he mistook a car for a ride share. surveillance video shows the victim chris matthews walking up to a car at first and howard in san francisco earlier police have not announced any arrests. the city of san francisco takes action following a story we first brought you on abc 7 news last night. we talked to a san francisco going by the twitter handle sf streets one who has been documenting drug use and crime outside his window process. after our story we helped him get a fast response from police. last night he tweeted about a pile of trash at the 14 bus stop on mission and 8th, the city's 311 twitter account responded promising a response within 24 hours. mayor londed breed tweeted back thanks 311 but we can do better than 24 hours. >> 311 the hack worked in a basic terms. but we don't know how long the vulnerability might have existed. we don't know what was -- what it was used for by hackers. it's very messy right now. >> reporter: perfect weekend for apple picking by with pg&e in the sierras. and i'm an arborist since the onset of the drought, more than 129 million trees have died in california. pg&e prunes and removes over a million trees every year to ensure that hazardous trees can't impact power lines. and since the onset of the drought we've doubled our efforts. i grew up in the forests out in this area and honestly officials wants to pay you to get rid of guns. five cities are coming together for the first north county gun buyback event. from 8:00 this morning until noon you can bring the guns to a church on fremont avenue. official also pay you $100 for a handgun rifle or shotgun and $20 oh for assault weapons. the goal is to provide a safe and anonymous place to depose of them make sure they are unloaded and kept in the trunk of your car. governor brown has signed a bill banning gun sales it people under the age of 21. the bill raises the age limit for the purchase of rifles and shotguns from 18 to 21. state law already bans people under the age of 21 from buying handguns. law enforcement, members of the military and people with hunting licenses are exempt from the new law going into effect next year. governor brown also signed a bill to become the first state to ban the sale of cosmetics tested on animal. the law will end the sale of excusable neglects like lipstick, dee odorant and shampoo kaning ingredients that are newly tested on animals. an exception includes state or federal law that requires animal testing if there are no alternatives available. a san francisco
