Some running in the streets, fearing a missile from north korea. About 40 minutes later, another alert went out saying the warning about a Ballistic Missile was a fake, and tonight, the governor of hawaii is apologizing. What happened today was totally unacceptable, and many in our community was deeply affected by this. And im sorry. Im too very angry and disappointed that this happened. While the message may have been fake, it might have uncovered a real problem that investigators are looking into. The governor says some people did not get the message on their cell phones. Plenty of tourists were caught off guard. A San Francisco couple had just started their honeymoon there. The victim identitied him and hes been booked. A call about a suspected drug deal ended with Police Shooting and killing the suspect. Police approached the suspect drug dealer who was sitting in his car, and they noticed a gun in the center console. At first, the man followed their instructions, but then reached for gun. Thats when an officer fired. The suspect is a 43yearold man from antioch. Two boys have been arrested for trying to steal a laptop from a b. A. R. T. Rider. The suspects grabbed the computer from the victim and dropped it and when the rider grabbed it, they tried to swipe it a second time. But as they tried to run away, they dropped the computer again. Police arrested both. One was cited and released to a parent. The other booked into juvenile hall. Residents protested against a planned location of a methadone treatment center. Abc7 news was at Richmond Civic Center where residents there held a rally to urge local leaders to prevent the baart Clinics Program to move to this location. Residents fear the clinic will impact their quality of life. Its going to increase crime levels. We already have a huge problem with homelessness. That problem is going to be exacerbated by the methadone clinic. Officials say the city has no role in the relocation proposal but will have to decide whether to issue a land use permit for that location.
