Developing news out of fairfield this morning where the search is on for a gunman who opened fire on an east bay freeway leaving one man with lifethreatening wounds and injuring seven others. Police tell us this was not an accident. The gunman targeted his victim in an act that led to the closure of neighboring streets and freeway ramps for seven hours. Abc 7 News ReporterTiffany Wilson has the details. So at this time we dont know the if it was an exchange of gunfire or not. What i do know is that the victim was in a silver honda accord and that a vehicle pulled up next to him and shots were fired in his direction. Reporter the shooting happened around 3 30 saturday afternoon. The driver of this honda accord was hit multiple times. The other car sped off. The driver was incapacitated. His vehicle veered across and subsequently collided with other cars. Reporter first he crashed into this suv and then this car. He was somewhat coherent. Hes at the hospital now. Reporter lieutenant Josiah Jacobson says the driver is in critical condition. A total of seven other people were in the other two vehicles, some of them were injured as well. They were transported to local hospitals with nonlifethreatening injuries. Some just precautionary. Some of the cars have been impacted. We just have information there were a couple other vehicles that fell victim to the collision that were no longer on scene when our officers arrived. So we are asking especially those drivers to give us a call. Reporter police are reviewing nearby surveillance cameras hoping to identify the suspects vehicle. In fairfield, Tiffany Wilson, abc 7 news. A man from the Los Angeles Area faces charges after investigators say he planted a camera inside a mill valley home to peep on a boy. The Sheriffs Office tweeted this picture of 32yearold marcus Alan Williams being taken into custody friday night at San Francisco international airport. We are told hes a friend of the boys family and was on his way to visit them. The boys mother found the camera as well as images on it last week and called the Sheriffs Office. Investigators say williams was previously a guest at the home. They are now trying to determine if there are more victims. The owner and founder of the Barrel Coffee Company has offered to step down after a Sexual Harassment lawsuit was brought against him. Eight former employees filed the lawsuit against four barrel owner Jeremy Tucker seen here in a facebook photo. Hes also accused of creating a toxic workplace for female employees. At least one company has severed ties with four barrel. And in a tweet, lemarais bakery said it will no longer be ordered from four barrel. Tucker has not responded to the lawsuit. Then 5 00, heavy rain from the east bay down the peninsula. 9 00 in the morning, the heavy rain shifts to the north bay, but its a solid area of rain and picks up by the afternoon with rainfall rates exceeding perhaps a half inch an hour. This is why were looking at the flooding around the bay area. 9 00 tonight, wow, we could see heavier rain. Final push, late in the overnight hours, well look at the flooding mere from it looks sloppy by tuesday, but by afternoon it pushes into the Sierra Nevada in the form of snow on tuesday. And we should be in the clear later on tuesday. But amounts, 2 1 2 inches in novato. An inch and a half in hayward. An inch and three quarters in san ramon.
