Officers say a woman was on her way to a wells fargo atm yesterday afternoon when she noticed a man pacing with a gun. Officers quickly circled the suspect and started talking to him. He was not complying at all. Reporter interim police chief jared kirby said the 36yearold spanish man was unstable and well known to others. Theyve known him since he was eight years old. Reporter a Crisis Intervention Team that specializes in Mental Health issues asked the suspect to drop his gun repeatedly. Ig ig ignacios video ends when the suspect shoots his weapon. You can see the suspect raise his arms and fire. He fired his gun i dont know how many times, but he fired his gun in the direction of the officers. Reporter officers then returned fire. They shot the dude. Reporter none of the officers was injured. The suspect was killed. Jimenez is a soldier. He expects gunfire on the front lines, not near his front yard. I didnt expect there to be a shooting. I thought the guy was going to comply and they were going to arrest him and that was going to be that. It escalated very quickly. Reporter chief kirby says the suspect has an extensive criminal past. He said the woman calling 911 may have prevented the suspect from robbing someone at the atm. Its goodbye to a fallen chp officer at a Memorial Service in stockton. Officer andrew camaleri lost his Life Christmas eve when a suspected impaired driver hit his car in hayward. Reporter music and memories fill the Christian Life center in stockton where hundreds of Law Enforcement officers, some as far away as colorado and texas, came to honor fallen chp officer andrew camaleri, a man who loved his job. Whether it was to be able to help a disabled motorist, issue a citation to a speeding driver, which he just enjoyed because he got to drive past. Reporter his casket was escorted by fellow chp officers. He died in the line of duty Christmas Eve in hayward when his patrol car was struck by a suspected drunk driver, who was later arrested. He was out there protecting others from the very thing that took his life. Reporter his partner was injured in the crash. His emotional tribute brought everyone to tears. Six people were hurt in a violent collision between two cars near San Franciscos golden gate park. The crash happened on arguello boulevard and fulton street yesterday morning. A mercedes tboned an acura at high speed. The acura had a family of four in it, including two children. He rammed into the vehicle at full speed. The Fire Department said all six hurt in the crash were taken to the hospital with injuries, thankfully considering nonlifethreatening. The driver was briefly detained after the crash before being taken to the hospital. Heres a live look at the embarcadero in San Francisco. The city tonight will be packed with revelers ready to count down the new year, but theres still a lot to do to prepare. According to the new york times, trump adviser George Papadopoulos boasted to australias ambassador to the u. K. , alexandra downer, that russia had political dirt on hillary clinton. They allegedly passed that tip on to authorities. That was two months later, about the time that hacked dnc emails started appearing on line. Papadopoulos, who recently pled guilty to lying to the fbi, was part of the Trump Campaigns National Security and Foreign Policy team seen here at a meeting with candidate trump.
