two fire engines. and here's a live picture from inside the city hall rotunda right now. you can see there, the flag-draped casket as mourners stop to pay their respects and there is a long line to get in. sky 7 live over city hall showing the crowds. abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield is also there. amy? >> reporter: hi, jessica. look at this tribute outside city hall from the fire department. a huge flag hanging between two fire trucks. it's a stunning sight that just takes your breath away when you see it. so does the emotion of the moment once you get inside. mayor ed lee's flag-draped casket arrived at san francisco city hall just before 7:00 this morning. the men who were with him every day, every moment, during his life as mayor, his security detail, would now serve as his pallbearers. two were with him monday night when he collapsed in safeway. today they carried his coffin into city hall. a line then quickly formed of people who wanted to be the first inside to say good-bye. >> ed was a good person. you know, and so i just wanted to celebrate his life. he was really loved and so many people are in shock that they want to acknowledge his passing. >> reporter: his casket was placed in the rotunda, surrounded by flowers. volunteers from the san francisco symphony played as well wishers started to stream by. fire chief joanne hayes-white consoled the mayor's chief of staff who broke down in tears at the sight of the coffin. mayor london breed stood alone she bowed her head and silently said good-bye. members of the public then started flowing in. everyone solemnly pausing, some praying, some crying. outside, well wishers described the moving moment they had. >> very solemn and it was great that so many people came out to pay respect to him. because they know how much he had done for the community and san francisco. >> reporter: other dignitaries who came through this morning included the police chief who gave a slow salute to his former boss. and former mayor willie brown. after the viewing, mourners were invited to sign condolence pages that will later be pound together in a book. the messages were sweeping about what a great mayor, city employee, and man he was. >> he really did it all. from his work in the community to his work as the mayor. >> total loss. you know? the committee lost a great leader. somebody who they could trust and who was very dependable. >> reporter: and look at the line of people outside city hall waiting to get in. it just continues to grow. it started forming at about 7:00 this morning. city hall will be open until 7:00 tonight if you'd like to stop by. this is just the beginning. there will be a public memorial service here at city hall. that's on sunday at 3:00. reporting live in san francisco, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> amy, thank you. and, yes, that line is staggering. another live look here from sky 7 overhead city hall. you can see those mourners waiting outside. and as amy mentioned, doors will stay open until 7:00 tonight. we are streaming the public viewing on our website, abc7news.com. another reminder that the memorial slegts election of the mayor's life will be sunday at 3:00 p.m. at city hall. it is open to the public. we will also have live coverage here on abc 7 news. we want to get now to some breaking news. another sea lion attack at san francisco's aquatic park. that is two in less than 24 hours. now the popular swimming area is closed to all swimmers. abc 7 news reporter is live there with more. carlos? >> reporter: yeah, good morning, jessica. this is where the second sea lion attack happened at about 8:30 this morning and as a result, officials have closed the park to swimmers. now we actually saw a police boat in the water a few minutes ago, telling swimmers to get out. now witnesses say that the attack happened at the opening of the aquatic park cove known as the jacuzzi. a man was attacked by a se la ln there. he was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. ness witnesses say he is is a member of the club. this is the second sea lion attack at the aquatic park in two days. yesterday a 56-year-old man was bitten by a sea lion. after that attack, he was able to flag down a boat and get help. one swimmer i talked with said she's not surprised about the attack given the number of sightings. >> we see seals and sea lions all the time ben when we swim. it's pretty unusual to be beaten. >> makes us nervous. so we won't be swimming probably close to the opening, you know, out there so much. only the brave ones will get there. i only swam this morning along the buoy line, a little further out. >> reporter: a club member told us that it's mating season and when male sea lions can get a bit aggressive. now, officials are not taking any chances out here. they've decided to close the aquatic park to swimmers until further notice. reporting live, abc 7 news. >> carlos, thank you. meanwhile, the swimmer who was attacked yesterday told abc 7 news he thinks the sea lion trailed him as he swam from the beach to the mouth of aquatic park. christian einfeld won't stop swimming in the bay but does say he'll make some changes. >> i'm now going to be swimming in waist-deep water only because this is kingdom. i don't think i want to roll the dice a second time. >> experts say sea lion attacks on humans are so rare, it's difficult to pinpoint exactly what sets them off. the first licenses are being issued in california to recreational marijuana businesses, buddy's cannabis in san jose was at the top of the list. abc 7 news reporter matt keller just spoke to the owner. hi, matt. >> reporter: hi, jessica, welcome to buddy's, one of 16 cannabis businesses here in the city of san jose. come january 1st, a big change, all you'll need is an i.d. showing that you're older than 1 and c 21 and can come here and buy recreational marijuana. sits in an industrial part of san jose on north 10th street. inside the front door a warm and inviting environment for people looking for medicinal marijuana. come january 1st buddy's products will be available to adults 21 and older thanks to the voter approved proposition 64 that legalizes sale of recreational marijuana. state bureau of cannabis control is handing out licenses. matt lucero, owner of buddy's, received up of the first in the state. >> we're going to be closed january 1st. in order to meet our mandate, we're issuing licenses early with an effective date of january 1st. >> which means we have a license to sell retail, to distribute products, to cultivate and to manufacture all on site on our 21,000 square foot building. >> reporter: along with valid local permits, those who apply will need to disclose owners in the businesses, their locations, provide diagrams of the establishments and produce documents that show how their cannabis businesses would operate at the sites. lucero says san jose's regulations actually made it easy to apply for a state license. >> complying with the state is relatively easy because most of what the state is requiring the city has been requiring from us for two years now. >> reporter: of course, the state of california is also getting something out of this. there's a 15% excise tax to go along with the regular sales tax. reporting live in san jose, matt killer, keller, abc 7 news. winds increasing this afternoon, causing fire concerns in the bay area. let's check in with meteorologist drew tuma. >> those winds are going to become an issue especially saturday morning. out there right now this morning winds are relatively light. see the current winds anywhere from 3 to 5 miles per hour at most. things will be changing in the next couple hours. future tracker wind gusts as we go hour by hour through late tonight by 11:00 on your friday, the winds will certainly be picking up along the coast and especially in the north bay and they will continue to increase even as we go into saturday. so it's for that fact a wind advisory will go into effect tonight at 10:00, lasting through 10:00 a.m. sunday morning with those winds gusting over 30 miles per hour. we'll talk about what that means for fire danger, and also take a look at the entire weekend forecast coming up in a few minutes. jessica? this is breaking tradition in a number of ways actually. first, usually royal weddings take place on a weekday. for example, the queen got married on athursday. prince william and kate got married on a friday. well, this is a saturday wedding. it's also the same day as the fa cup final which harry's brother usually attends as president. probably not going to be happening this year, though. this is sort of interesting, they'll now be sharing a wedding anniversary with a couple close to home, mark zuckerberg and dr. priscilla chan also married may 19th. they're in good company. now your accuweather forecast with drew tuma. >> accuweather, our fire danger will be increasing overnight tonight as winds begin to crank. live doppler 7 along with satellite showing you a really quiet picture out there. temperature wise we see our numbers gradually climbing through the 50s. 55 in san francisco. same in san jose. 53 in concord. east bay hills camera on a perfect day, we should be able to see the san francisco skyline but we have so much haze and smoke in our atmosphere from the fires in southern california that another spare the air day is in effect right now. we have poor to moderate air quality across the entire region. highs today, the haze will stick with us throughout the afternoon. numbers climbing to the 50s right now. will make it mainly into the mid if not upper 60s later on today. it will be a mild end to what has been a mild week. overnight tonight, temperatures drop into the mid 30s to upper 340s but the bigger story, the winds are going to increase next 24 hours. future tracker wind gusts showing you by 7:00 saturday morning, those winds are racing out of the north. gusting over 30 miles per hour. across the entire region. and that is going to be the same story even saturday evening. by 7:00 saturday, in the evening hours we're still seeing gusts, 25, if not over 30 miles per hour, still. it's for the factor the winds increasing. very dry vegetation and also very low humidity, high fire danger, a red flag warning goes into effect at 10:00 tonight. this lasting through 10:00 a.m. sunday morning. so, what this means, those north winds begin to move in overnight and last into saturday evening. could see gusts in our hills close to 50 miles per hour. the humidity is just bone dry right now. 10% to 20%. so this is a combination, a recipe, if you will, so that any fires that do start could quickly spread. so be very vigilant with this weather pattern over the next 48 hours. one of the silver linings, though, with this wind, it's going to help to clear out our atmosphere of smoke. take a look at saturday, the air quality, it will greatly improve. most spots have good air quality to start off the weekend. here's the accuweather seven-day forecast. plan the next seven days for you. we have the haze with us right now. it's mild. the winds turn up on saturday. just gusty across the region with high fire danger. the winds will ease sunday afternoon. the fire danger will lessen. into monday, tuesday and wednesday, temperatures gradually cool into the low 60s. still, you see on the seven-day, jessica, not one chance of rain the next seven days, unfortunately. >> yeah, unfortunately because of that fire danger but certainly the winds have changed, right?
