may want to slow it down a little bit. if someone you know is coming in on i-5, southbound, highway 205, a multicar accident. traffic is backed up before highway 120 so expect delays there. a little bit closer to home let's check your commute out of tracy, the red sensors are showing about a 35-minute drive from tracy up and over the altamont pass. ace train number one is on time. they are trying to clear that out of lanes. we had a motorcycle down near the carquinez bridge. you are stacked up well into vallejo westbound 80. we'll be back in a few with updates on this. new this morning, heavy police activity overnight in a san jose neighborhood. this is new video just in to our abc 7 newsroom. we believe all of this began around 6:00 last night on holly drive. s.w.a.t. officers with san jose police even brought out a bomb detecting robot. we do have a call in to san jose police. a witness, though, at the scene tells us someone has been taken into custody and the scene is now clearing up. as soon as we get any more information i will let you know. >> jessica, thank you. you just heard from mike that the rain is going to be coming and posing new threats to the north bay that were ravaged by last month's fires. mud slides, flooding and debris flows are huge concerns as well flows are huge concerns as well as sinkholes. crews alerted neighbors and sealed off street level storm drains. we evaluate and the city evaluates the needs. >> crews are placing tiny cameras to get a better idea of the damage below. >> plans to open a gun store will be up for debate. the story from san be taken up by housekeeping matters such as agreeing on instructions. closing arguments will begin. jose ines garcia death is called a freak accident. south san francisco police are on the lookout for a driver who hit and killed a woman and then took off. it happened just before midnight at el camino real and south spruce avenue. the woman was knocked unconscious in the street and later died at the hospital. police are looking for a late model toyota or lexus. >> the san jose police department is accused of targeting gay men for arrests. bruce nickerson says the crackdown unfairly singles out gay men. a man walked along the guadalupe river and propositioned him. the city attorney has not commented on the case. >> a community forum to learn about recent changes to an immigrant protection to turn the tables after being accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl and dating teenagers while he was a district attorney 38 years ago. >> in the next few days there will be revelations about motivations and the content of this article. >> reporter: moore yet to provide that proof he's been promising for days would discredit the allegations uncovered by "the washington post," accusations desk. breaking news happening in atlanta right now. a manhunt under way for the man who opened fire at a nightclub downtown. two people are dead. two others hurt. we just got this new video from the scene a few moments ago. two people were hurt were said to be bystanders. those folks are expected to recover. i will keep my eye on the situation there and let you know as soon as we get any more updates. >> there is a new scam, swapping their numbers with those of legitimate businesses. so potential customers are contacting thieves instead of actual companies. google's business listings have an option to suggest an edit allowing almost anyone to change information. security experts suggest searching for a business on multiple sites to confirm information. a new high-end car with a noon hour the best chance in the for the bay while a random shower may be possible forrest of us. as we head into the evening commute a cold front, a weak cold front, will start pushing this chance down into the heart of the bay and the south bay. you can see that chance lingers and then it's over as we head through the rest of the morning commute tomorrow. 7:00 tonight we end the evening commute with the best chance of measurable rain, richmond, san francisco northward. we could wake up to slick streets tomorrow morning. upper 50s at the coast. ten degrees cooler tomorrow. now looking at tuesday lots of sunshine. wednesday into thursday, rainfall amounts are starting to approach an inch, maybe more in some neighborhoods. it will be breezy. we'll keep the storm at one, light. what are you looking at, sue? >> the san mateo bridge. we're seeing volume increase. an earlier accident at the dumbarton bridge that was partially blocking the slow lane. that's been pushed off to paseo/padre parkway. it has improved. westbound carquinez bridge, we had a motorcycle down but that's been cleared out. check out the backup to the exit in vallejo. expect about a good solid 15-minute delay there. intermittent after 8:00 this morning. they'll be trying to close it for 15 minutes at a time to do some maintenance there. you may want to check out fruitvale or park avenues as your moment. >> it may impede your forward progress this morning, so to speak, in the form of light showers. you can see them scattered all over the place on live doppler 7 especially from the bay bridge all the way down to about 237. we are reporting light rain also around santa rosa. here's a look for south beach. when i came across the bay bridge i ran into some drizzle this morning so watch out for that. by noon 60 to 65. from drizzle and light rain to scattered showers. 59 to 65. about 56 to 60 degrees. any issues? yeah, a couple as you would expect with slick roads this morning. we'll headfirst to the bay bridge where the metering lights were turned on at 5:27. and that is starting to fill in rapidly. let's check the earlier motorcycle accident near the carquinez toll plaza cleared out of lanes for about 20 minutes now. look at the backup still past highway 37 for a solid 15 to 20-minute delay headed westbound. the east shore freeway is light from highway 4 all the way into the mcarthur maze. we'll check back on a new stalled big rig apparently near castro valley in just a couple of minutes. >> sue, thank you. it's 5:31 now. rain is the cause of concern in the north bay. the wildfires melted critical drainage pipes. >> that is threatening roads. amy hollyfield live for us in santa rosa this morning. >> reporter: reggie, good morning. here is a new road closure here in santa rosa, cross creek road and thomas lake harris drive. the fires burned plastic underground pipes. this leaves empty cavities in the road. there's nothing there to support any run-off from the rain. authorities now worry the rain could cause flooding, sinkholes, and mud slides in the area. crews are using tiny cameras underground to look for any more damaged pipes. they are telling residents they need to be aware. >> this is a fluid situation. we know the rain is coming and want residents to be prepared. we're asking residents to be extra vigilant and to have a plan to leave in an event it is necessary. >> reporter: one sinkhole already opened up on newberry court. crews worked on repairing that spot over the weekend. they are on guard today because of the rain expected here. the irony is not lost on officials. the mayor says he feels bad asking people who just got back into their homes to be prepared to possibly have to evacuate again. live in santa rosa, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. amy, thank you. firefighters on the front lines of the wildfires will be tested for exposure. blood and urine samples from 175 firefighters to determine which dangerous substances they were exposed to from burning furniture and other household goods. they are pitching in $100,000 to support that study. property owners have until today to sign up to have the government remove ash and debris from their burned out homes in sonoma county. abc 7 was at the veterans memorial building where people met face-to-face with county agencies and fema over the weekend to get questions answered and to make arrangements. homeowners can opt to foot the bill to hire a private contractor to remove that debris. the 49ers' first win of the season came with a touching and heartbreaking moment a lot of people are talking about. >> marquis goodwin scored a touchdown leading his team to victory. hours earlier he and his wife lost their newborn son. reporter matt keller is live for us in santa clara. good morning, matt. >> reporter: good morning, natasha and reggie. this is such an incredibly sad story. while marquis goodwin was providing one of the biggest highlights of the 49ers season here at levi's stadium yesterday he was also mourning the loss of his newborn son. >> nice pickup. >> wide open for the speedster goodwin. and goodwin is gone! a 49ers touchdown. >> reporter: marquis goodwin knelt in the end zone and then dropped to both knees after running in an 83-yard touchdown. the wide receiver fell on to his hands as his teammates gathered around him. after the game goodwin posted on instagram his son died after being born prematurely early sunday morning. he wrote, unfortunately, we lst our baby boy due to complicat n complications and had to prematurely deliver him early this morning around 4:00 a.m. although we are hurt i'm grateful for the experience and god blessed me with a wife as courageous and resilient as morgan. the pain physically, mentally and emotionally that she has endured is unbelievable. please pray for the goodwin family. he included a powerful photo. if you'd like to see that picture go to our website abc7news.com. matt keller, abc 7 news. an update on that police situation in san jose i told you about only a few minutes ago. i was able to get more information from police. it was a standoff situation with a woman holed up inside her home for nearly ten hours. police officers say they were called out yesterday shortly before 6:00 p.m. to near gridly street. i just got that information here. we heard that there were two people fighting. they say the woman was upset over a parking situation and at one point she did have a gun, walked outside waving that weapon at neighbors. and that the female suspect eventually was able to surrender peacefully. she's in the santa clara county jail facing multiple charges. several homes in the neighborhood were also evacuated for a few hours but those folks are back home now. back to you. >> all right, jessica, thank you. the state senate is changing the way it investigates sexual misconduct complaints after allegations against a sitting senator. they will hire an outside legal team to investigate the complaints. usually harm complaints are handled internally by human resources and the results are not made public. tony mendoza of los angeles has been accused of sexually harassing two women who previously worked for him. he denies those allegations. hey, hey, ho, ho. >> and this in hollywood where several hundred survivors of sexual harassment and assault marched down sunset boulevard along with a slew of reporters called the me too survivors march. demonstrators said more needs to be done than just weeding out sexual predators. women must be protected from prejudice and abuse. a death investigation is under way this morning aboard a tanker moored off the coast of richmond. a report from a shipping agent that a person had died onboard. the ship is now docked and arrived on saturday no other details were immediately available. i want to show you this new video we got in of that powerful earthquake in the middle east overnight. people there are now being rescued from the trouble after a 7.3 quake hit right on the iran/iraq border. at the live desk this morning i toll and damage there. there are 341 people dead in those two countries. ne nearly 6,000 people hurt. it happened around 6:30 our time. there have been substantial aftershocks as well, at least seven reported in the region in the 4 to 5 point range. i'll let you know if the numbers change throughout the morning. there is still right now a search for survivors. back to you. president trump ignored questions about human rights abuses while meeting his philippine counterpart president duterte in manila.% the president said that he and duterte have a great relationship. duterte is overseeing a violent and bloody drug war and makes no apologies for killing people without a trial. president trump is going to return to washington on wednesday. down the street from the u.s. embassy in the streets of manila this is what it looked like, up to 2,000 demonstrators protesting the president's visit. what you're looking at there is an he have skeffigy of the prest on fire. large crowds. dozens of protesters were injured as well as six police officers. demonstrators say they're going to be out there tomorrow when the summit is scheduled to end. let's talk about the impact scale. we have drizzle, patchy, light rain, scattered anything else. look at this in the south bay. of course the rain shadow from the santa cruz mountains. that wall of water runs right into the mountains and just sits right there while you're left with drizzle and a stray shower this morning. expect that to continue until tonight. to the north bay. clear lakes, 50. all the way up to vallejo at 57. most of us about 54 to 56 degrees. the same temperatures, just about everywhere else until you get to brentwood at 52. cupertino, 51. san ramona 49. we look south on 680. some of our coolest temperatures are in the san ramone valley with the upper 40s. slick spots on the road this morning. showers possible if you're taking mass transit. and some light breezes. it could be wet on the bay today. 64 in sacramento, afternoon showers. you notice the showers are north of 80. 48 in tahoe. but the stronger storm coming in wednesday. look at this, 10:00 in the morning to 4:00 friday evening. that's a long time. we've got at least 8 to 18 inches of snow at the pass level. now above 8,000 feet we're going to double to nearly triple this and it will be gusty at times so take the chains and expect some delays. we'll talk about how this storm will bring us heavier rain coming up. first, sue has an update on an accident in the east bay. >> right. let's go to castro valley. what was a stalled big rig as soon as it was reported pretty much right after that it was cleared out of lanes. so it must have just moved on. that was westbound 580 before eden canyon and i'm not seeing any slow traffic through there although when you approach 238 you will see some slowing. and a big problem earlier this morning with a motorcycle down westbound before the carquinez bridge toll plaza has been cleared out of lanes for some time but the backup remains from before highway 37 exit in vallejo, before the six flags area. so expect big delays this morning. the better news is that farther south on the east -- i guess farther west on the east shore freeway we're not seeing any slow traffic as of yet. we do have metering lights on at the bay bridge and we'll check back with that in a couple of minutes. >> sue, thank you. how could comedy's candidate roy moore says he will sue "the washington post" for the report accusing him of sexual misconduct with a teenaged girl. he is determined to stay in the race even if president trump asks him to drop out. moore's support comes from christian conservatives but even some churchgoers have their doubts about him. >> well, i never was a roy moore supporter to begin with but i see no reason why comedian louis c.k. of sexual misconduct. lindsay davis spoke about the allegations that many say were an open secret. saying incident of sexual misconduct were common knowledge in the comedy world. people joked about it and made light of it, but then it happened to her in 2005. she says it made her angry. >> if i can do anything differently, it would be that day. i would have shut down stadium yesterday. santa clara police had to strug to restrain a man. he and the officer tumbled onto the field. he was wearing the jersey of the opposing team, the new york giants. former vice president joe biden says he's uncertain about a run for president in 2020 but says the democratic party needs new blood. biden ran for president in 1988 and 2008. in an interview with snapchat's good be up there. as the weak cold front sweeps through we'll push some across the south bay and then they're completely out of here by the time we start tomorrow morning's commute. a look at the rainfall fund more expansion. >> the north bay is worried about run-off but not from today's storm. wednesday's storm is a different story. it could be our first atmospheric river event 7:00 in the morning in the north bay all the way through about 7:00 that evening when it starts to move in. the light to moderate rain into the rest of our neighborhoods. by thursday morning for the most part it's gone. look at these rain totals nearly three-quarters of an inch to an inch and three-quarters in the north bay. that 680 commute this morning, what can you tell us, sue? >> it looks rough. i noticed when
