Right now just moments ago we got this video of people helping the survivors of Hurricane Harvey in texas. Many displaced families still living in shelters there so a Las Vegas Group is actually stepping in to help there. This is absolute exhibits, it partnered with a lumber company to build beds out of donated wood and yesterday they cut, sanded, pieced together hundreds of bed frames. The beds will be delivered to the houston childrens charity. The group has collected comforters, toys and backpacks for those kids. So nice to see some of that video coming in. Its 4 35. Happening today the Santa Clara County board of supervisors will consider providing thousands of dollars to help daca residents. That program would help with renewal applications, Entrepreneurship Training and Behavioral Health services. Daca protests rather protect hundreds of thousands of young people brought here illegally as children from deportation. Santa clara county is home to 24,000 daca recipients. After weeks of negotiations californias sanctuary state bill is headed to the assembly for approval. Changes were made to the bill after Governor Brown said he would not sign previous versions. The bill would give federal immigration agents access to Law Enforcement databases, it would also allow local police to hold someone for federal authorities if they have been convicted of a serious or violent crime. San jose police need your help to end into the suspects who robbed an elderly woman last month. Surveillance video captured the robbery on story road. Police say the suspect approached the woman and ripped her purse from her after a violent struggle. The suspect got into a fourdoor nissan. The victim had minor injuries but is okay.
