Representative image. BELAGAVI: Four persons including three women died on spot in a head on bus-car collision at Chachadi - Gontamara cross in Savadatti taluk in Belagavi district on Sunday. The car that crushed into the KSRTC bus traveling from Belagavi towards Yaragatti had to be removed using a crane. A few passengers onboard public transport were also injured and coincidentally, Mines and geology minister Murugesh Nirani who was travelling to Mudhol via Belagavi made arrangements for an ambulance to carry the injured to the hospital. He spoke to panic-stricken passengers and assured further help. The minister is scheduled to reach Yadgir district before Jan 26 to attend the Republic Day parade.
