In March, the symphony first began canceling or postponing performances due to the pandemic. In July, it announced it wouldn't perform at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts for the rest of 2020. âWe are energized and elated to resume orchestral performances in person and online," Symphony executive director Danny Beckley said. "While we have been able to perform for audiences throughout the fall in chamber ensembles, the sound and repertoire of an orchestra â even a smaller orchestra â is something special that we all have missed over these last many months.â
