His wife Yeasmin Akhter Moina (35) died at the hospital around 7:30pm yesterday.
The couple, their two children and a nephew suffered burns in the fire -- believed to have been originated around 3:30am yesterday from an electric short-circuit while charging Matin's auto-rickshaw.
With more than 40 percent burns on their bodies -- Mayesha (10) and Ayesha (6) -- are fighting for their lives at the hospital while another injured Abul Khayer Raihan was released after treatment.
Raihan earlier said the incident happened at Kamrangirchar's Ahsanbagh area when all were asleep and the auto-rickshaw was being charged from the house's electric line.
Anwar Hossain, senior station officer of Hazaribagh Fire Station, said they are suspecting an electric short circuit caused the fire that spread later.
