Justice League review; Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg (Image: WB) The Amazons and Atlanteans have added scenes – complete with Amber Heard’s rather odd, thankfully ditched, British accent. The terrifying moment when Steppenwolf comes for the Themiscyra Mother Box is vastly expanded, layering in greater dimension to the sense of tension, danger and terrible loss of life. It is a masterful exercise in measured intensity that also, like so much elsewhere, weaves in that epic sense of backstory and mythos that Snyder loves. Elsewhere, Diana explores hidden caves which reveal stunning, beautiful wall paintings. They suggest ancient civilisation and vast, echoing storylines. It's also painful to realise just how much beautiful work and craftsmanship was thrown away by the previous release.
