Samantha McDaniel-Ogletree | Journal-Courier Washington Elementary School could be the next to see a major renovation if the Jacksonville School District 117 board decides during its Wednesday meeting to move forward with its Phase 3 Vision 117 plans. The district is looking into potential renovation and construction projects that would use sales tax revenue and Elementary & Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds that have spending deadlines within the next few years. Superintendent Steve Ptacek said in a video presentation to the community that the district is in a position to use the funds and savings to complete several projects that will benefit the district’s schools.
