Jobs blow for Weymouth as Dorothy Perkins and Burton Menswear to close

BUSINESS bosses in Weymouth have spoken of their disappointment at further job losses in the town following news that Dorothy Perkins and Buron Menswear branches are to close - despite the chains being bought out from administration by online fashion giant Boohoo.
As reported, Arcadia brands Dorothy Perkins, Burton and Wallis have all been purchased as part of the £25.2million deal.
The deal is for the inventory, e-commerce and digital assets of the businesses, which were owned by Sir Philip Green’s Arcadia retail empire when it entered administration in December.
However it does not include the brands’ 214 remaining shops, which will close, according to administrators from Deloitte.
