Advertisement A canopy of ripe lemons and honeysuckle shades me from the autumn sun. I’m lying under a stylish patterned cabana on the edge of the flags on Main Beach. I’m propped up on a beach chair that has come from the same rental place as the cabana. The gentle crash of the small waves making me more and more relaxed as I slurp my rainbow-coloured shaved ice out of its cardboard cup. The more it melts, the sweeter the syrup in the bottom of the cup. Oh, this is living! For the first time in more than a year, my daughters and I have been lucky enough to get on a plane. Our destination? Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, a place where so many of our family holidays have been enjoyed.
