Jackknifed tractor-trailer cleared from I-295 in Falmouth
No one was injured when a tractor-trailer jackknifed and blocked Interstate 295 north in Falmouth on Monday afternoon.

No one was injured when a tractor-trailer truck jackknifed and blocked Interstate 295 north in Falmouth on Monday afternoon.
Maine State Police said Jesse Philbrick, 66, of Limestone, was driving the big rig in the northbound lanes when a driver in a black sedan entered the highway from an on-ramp at mile 10.
The driver of the sedan apparently did not yield to Philbrick, who applied the brakes to avoid a collision. The rapid braking caused the truck to jackknife, blocking both travel lanes for about 90 minutes.
