Yarmouth fire Lt. Chris McMahon pulled into the parking lot of Harwich Port Community Health Center around 8:30 Tuesday morning. He was there to pick up dozens and dozens of doses of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine, which he planned to distribute among five, two-person vaccination teams, each consisting of a paramedic and an EMT. Armed with the single-dose shots, the teams were scheduled to fan out across town Tuesday to vaccinate about 60 homebound residents. By week’s end, McMahon said, all of Yarmouth's roughly 170 homebound residents would have been fully vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson’s shots. But when he arrived at the health center, McMahon was greeted by Outer Cape Health Services Director of Compliance Deborah Gavron-Ravenelle.
