J.C. Penney has found a home for the larger-than-life James Cash Penney statue The statue of the founder had to be removed after the retailer decided to leave its longtime Plano headquarters on Legacy Drive. The James Cash Penney statue had been in the main atrium of 6501 Legacy Drive in Plano for almost three decades. The bronze statue was moved to the northside atrium of the campus two years ago. Penney needed less space at that point and had moved into that side of the campus after it sold the property.(Shaban Athuman / Staff Photographer) The larger-than-life bronze statue of James Cash Penney is heading to Kemmerer, Wyo., where the merchant opened his first store in 1902.
