Israel, Bhutan on road to greater cooperation

ISRAEL and Bhutan have established full diplomatic relations between them.
In a joint statement following the signing of the agreement, the two nations said the accord will open the path to greater cooperation and further strengthen relations.
The agreement was signed on Saturday at a ceremony held at the residence of Israel's Ambassador to India, Ron Malka, with the ambassador of Bhutan to India Major General Vetsop Namgyel.
Bhutan's recognition of Israel comes as several Arab and Muslim countries in the Middle East and Africa signed similar agreements, reports Al-Jazeera.
