Nearly 50 people and groups, including state lawmakers, residents and groups representing environmental, fishing, water quality and outdoor interests, filed the request Tuesday. They are mostly from Iowa, but also include interests from Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin.
