The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office identified the man as 29-year-old Chad Curtis Loynachan of Tigard. California Highway Patrol stopped Loynachan on I-5 near Yreka on February 5 for alleged reckless driving, but a search of his vehicle reportedly found multiple loaded handguns — several of them stolen — a suspected explosive device, methamphetamine, heroin, and supplies for drug sales.
