The Spanish firm Navantia signed an agreement with Larsen and Toubro on Monday to jointly bid for the manufacture of six submarines for the Indian Navy under the Project 75 programme. The other bidder is Germany's Mazagon Docks. Speaking at the ceremony, Augustin Alvarez Blanco, Director of Construction, Navantia, said a modern Air Independent Propulsion or AIP has been fitted onto a Spanish submarine and is ready for Indian submarines., India News, Times Now
