India and Kenya have witnessed growth in collaboration in various sectors such as trade, economy, education, health, and people-to-people contact, according to India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The two countries have also worked closely at the UN Security Council as non-permanent members. India has prioritized engagement with African nations, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written to all G20 member countries to include the African Union in G20 membership. Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Defence, Aden Bare Duale, praised the cordial relations between the two countries and congratulated India on the soft landing of Chandrayaan-3.
