It was a mostly routine meeting of the Vilas County Board of Supervisors that approved resolutions with little or no debate but board vice-chairman Jerry Burkett, who ran the meeting in the absence of board chairman Ron DeBruyne, gave a lecture to board members.
Burkett felt it was time to put the past election in the past and move on.
“It’s time to heal,” Burkett said, “the vote is done and it’s a time to heal. It’s time to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and put everything behind us.”
He continued by saying “it’s time for all of us to heal and it starts with every one of us, everyone of you, as individuals, to heal.”
