The temperature in Delhi reached a scorching 41.3°C on Monday, surpassing the usual average for this period by two degrees, as per IMD. It has forecasted light rainfall on Tuesday which might bring a very brief respite from the scorching heat. At IMD's Safdarjung observatory, the minimum temperature on Monday was recorded at 25.2°C, slightly lower than the previous day's reading of 25.9°C. On Sunday, the maximum temperature was 40.9°C.
