DRIVERS are causing chaos parking on double-yellow lines and footpaths near a convenience shop. Premier opened in Station Road, Royal Wootton Bassett, three years ago and since then residents say it has caused parking issues and safety hazards. Eddie Bailey has lived in Station Road for the past 25 years and is concerned for people’s safety after seeing a fire engine struggle to get through the road due to poorly-parked cars. He said: “No-one objected to the development a few years ago and the town is pretty chilled out about these things. "But in the first few months of it being there, a van was parked half on the pathway and a learner driver was trying to get around it just as a fire engine came out with its sirens blazing.
