CARLSBAD The Carlsbad City Council met Tuesday to discuss options for resuming in-person public meetings. The council agreed to resume in-person council meetings starting July 13, and changed the start time to 6 p.m. The council held hearings and approved tax levies for the Carlsbad Tourism Business Improvement District and the Carlsbad Golf Lodging Business Improvement District. The council held a public workshop Wednesday on laws and regulations on installing 5G cellular technology and other wireless communication facilities. DEL MAR Advertisement The Del Mar City Council met in closed session Monday to discuss litigation and property negotiations. In open session, the council affirmed its decision to withdraw the city’s Sea Level Rise Local Coastal Program Amendment application from the California Coastal Commission certification process. The council approved amending the TransNet Local Streets and Roads Program of projects for 2020-2021 through 2024-2025. The council also approved a request to install five concrete pads downtown for the temporary outdoor sculpture program. Final approval was given for the city’s 2021-22 and 2022-23 budgets and related budget resolutions.
