Homeland Security asks mayors for storage space By Anne Wen View Comments Guam needs more storage space to house personal protective equipment, according to Leo Espia, Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense deputy administrator. "We are in the process of getting warehouses with the hope that we can have territorial or state stockpiles," Espia said at a Wednesday Mayors' Council of Guam meeting. "This stockpile is not just triggered by COVID-19 but also by typhoon preparedness in a COVID environment." Guam has a stockpile at the Astumbo Gym, but Guam Homeland Security hopes other mayors will look at their facilities to store more items.
