(WHAM) - The elementary school principal in Hilton accused of sexually abusing at least 11 students over several years pleaded not guilty to charges against him Wednesday.
Kirk Ashton appeared in a virtual court hearing Wednesday morning to answer to 25 counts filed against him.
The principal at Northwood Elementary School in the Hilton Central School District was arrested last month after an investigation uncovered allegations of several young boys who had been sexually abused by Ashton.
Parents of two boys who attended the school told 13WHAM News the boys were invited to have lunch with Ashton in his office, reportedly often in groups of two or three. Some were allegedly asked to sit on Principal Ashton’s lap. Sometimes, the office door was reportedly open – other times, a parent said, it was shut.
