HILLSDALE - Hillsdale Community School District voters showed up to cast their ballots Tuesday on whether to extend the district’s current authorized millage rate.
The unofficial cumulative vote was 839 yes and 604 no, for a total of 1,443 votes. Hillsdale County Clerk Marney Kast said it was close to a 14 percent turnout, which on an off scheduled year, was average.
"Everything seemed to run smooth throughout the day," she said. "In this election, each of the six precincts had a leader. Hillsdale Township’s election records were into the Courthouse by 9:28 p.m., followed by Hillsdale City at 9:38 p.m., which was a record."
