Already having challenges to access assistance pre-earthquake – as Syrian children have fewer opportunities to be integrated into Turkish kindergartens – and with schools closed for several weeks in a row, Syrian mothers’ role as caregivers has become increasingly difficult. And it’ll have long-lasting consequences, especially on the psychological level for both the mothers and their young children.
