HECI bill to be introduced in Parliament soon; medical, law

The Higher Education Commission of India (HECI) Bill, which aims to establish a single higher education regulator, will be introduced to Parliament soon. However, medical and law colleges will not be included under its jurisdiction. The HECI will focus on regulation, accreditation, and setting professional standards.
