Share Updated: 5:07 PM CDT Jul 2, 2021 Hawkeye Joe Wieskamp announced Friday he will not return to the University of Iowa for the 2021-22 season.Wieskamp said in a Tweet that he will remain in the 2021 NBA Draft.“Hawkeye Nation, it’s been an incredible three years,” he said via Twitter. “I can’t thank you all enough for your support throughout my career.”Wieskamp closed out the 2020-21 season as an All-Big Ten Second Team honoree, member of the 10-player USBWA All-District Team and one of five finalists for the 2020 Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award.He joined Hawkeye Luka Garza at the 2021 NBA Draft Combine.During the combine, Wieskamp recorded a 42-inch max vertical, tying for fourth-best overall. In his final five-on-five scrimmage at the combine, Wieskamp scored 26 points and made 10 rebounds.
