Graduation season kicked off on an overcast Saturday morning with California Lutheran University students walking across the stage after an unforgettable end to their years at the Thousand Oaks school.
Students arrived with their families to the Ventura County Fairgrounds, where each car parked based on designated color. Around 600 cars surrounded the stage set up at the fairgrounds, confirmed by university spokesperson Karin Grennan.
"It gives me tremendous pleasure to be here in person on a real stage with all of you on this very special, but unique, ceremony," said Cal Lutheran President Lori E. Varlotta during her remarks at the start of the ceremony.
