Government should be more transparent over Covid data warns MP Bob Seely

Bob Seely.
THE Government should be more transparent about where it gets its Covid data — Island MP Bob Seely has warned.
He drew comparisons to mistakes made by New Labour over the Iraq war, warning ministers that “mistruths or untruths finally catch up with governments”.
Mr Seely was speaking at the House of Commons during a debate on Government transparency and accountability during the pandemic, where he raised concerns.
The Conservative MP called on the Government to provide full data sets and contexts around decisions taken during the pandemic to retain public confidence.
It was in response to stories in the media about vaccine passports, and a suggestion that the Government might attempt to win a vote in the House by linking the case for international passports and for domestic passports.
