Google Doodle celebrated German-born British neurologist Sir Ludwig Guttmann’s 122nd birth anniversary with an animated graphic on July 3. He was the founder of the Paralympic movement. Today’s special Google Doodle has been illustrated by Baltimore-based guest artist Ashanti Fortson.
Born in Tost, Germany (now Toszek, Poland) on July 3, 1899, Ludwig Guttmann established the Stoke Mandeville Games, the sporting event for the disabled that evolved into the Paralympic Games in England.
