Jack Van Winkle, of 5308 North St. told board members about the high level of water in his front yard whenever it rains. Winkle said about nine years ago the township came down and dug out trenches on the property, creating a high spot in the middle of the yard. “I had water up to my front door on the step,” Winkle said. “My front yard has sank three inches.” Godfrey Village Engineer Richard Beran said he has come up with a potential solution but it would need to be contracted out and would cost an estimated $40,000.
