Ryan High and his wife, Laura, bought the local Sugarfire franchise in the Ironworks development. They closed the deal on Nov. 1. The Highs own the adjacent Global Brew; an outdoor patio separates the two. Sugarfire has 4,500-square-feet and employs 20 people. “We want to hone in on the local ownership aspect,” High said. Customers should expect to see Sugarfire 618 taglines, for example. “When the opportunity came up, we knew we couldn’t let it pass due to the proximity.”
