Gastronome Petro Lotz tantalised East Londoners’ taste buds for years before relocating to the Karoo where she hosts visitors in her luxury guest house and whips up delicious meals at her new restaurant, Eat. Petro, 58, who once owned the seaside eatery Al Mare on East London’s beachfront, became the city’s go-to caterer with her business, Appetito Catering and Cooking School, which saw her feeding appreciative guests at sparkling events and elegant weddings.
