According to GasBuddy, prices rose 6.3 cents per gallon to an average of $2.82 per gallon. That's up $1.20 from this time last year. GasBuddy said the cheapest station in the area is at $2.45 while the most expensive is a $3.09. The last time gas was this expensive or more on April 5 was back in 2014, when the average was $3.62 per gallon. The other high price was back in 2019 at $2.79 per gallon on April 5.
