The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission is holding a rare meeting in Jackson this week. From Monday afternoon through Thursday morning, the commission that oversees the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be convening for field trips, informational updates on wildlife management, to establish hunting seasons and to set policy. Commissioners will be based out of The Lodge at Jackson Hole, gathering at its conference center for meetings that are open to the public. Virtual attendance via Zoom is also an option. Agenda items will cover the creation of Game and Fish’s elk feedground management plan, updates about large carnivores in the state, the development of housing at South Park for Game and Fish’s local personnel and proposals to translocate black-tailed prairie dogs and golden eagles. A full agenda is posted alongside this story at JHNewsandGuide.com.
