Chief minister Hemant Soren speaks to Union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari virtually on Saturday RANCHI: The Union minister for road transport and highways, Nitin Gadkari, on Saturday inaugurated seven projects and laid the foundation of 14 others collectively worth Rs 3,550 crore via video conferencing from New Delhi. He announced that the Centre will invest Rs 1 lakh crore for road construction projects in Jharkhand in the next three years. “The Bharatmala project, which will develop an economic corridor, will be completed by next year and we expect the state government to prepare a detailed project report for the road projects specified in Bharatmala and send it to the Centre on time,” Gadkari said.
